Good Karma: Organic Fashion by Life is Good
Made from 100% organic cotton, the Good Karma fashion line offers the fun and comfort expected from Life is Good clothing, without the environmental impact of conventionally manufactured apparel. Good Karma organic tees, shorts, socks, and caps are available in a variety of designs for both men and women – like the soft and sporty Green is Good cap or the potato stamped daisy tank. The Good Karma line also includes stylish organic bags and totes, as well as natural ceramic mugs in a relaxing sandstone hue.
Life is Good is dedicated to providing ultimate comfort in stylish green fashion, and is also committed to making life good for children in need. The Life is Good Kids Foundation has raised over 4 million dollars to bring happiness to the lives of children in the midst of life-threatening challenges.
Along with the powerful grassroots organization, Project Joy, Life is Good helps children overcome trauma through play, love, and exploration. The annual Life is Good Festival is the foundation’s primary source of funding. The 2010 festival will take place in Canton, MA on Septmeber 11 and 12, and features live music, interactive activities, games, and special events designed for children. All festival proceeds benefit the LIG Kids Foundation and Project Joy.
If you’re unable to attend the Life is Good Festival, you can still help by purchasing a fundraising product. All profits from these items directly benefit the foundation. Choose from official festival tees ($25), the cheerful Have-a-Heart necklace ($15), recycled reusable shopping totes ($5), or the Life is Good book ($20).
About Life is Good
Two brothers, Bret and John Jacobs, started selling their unique t-shirt designs in 1989. The New England duo would visit college campuses and street fairs up and down the east coast, selling their shirts door-to-door and in the streets. Eating peanut butter and jelly and sleeping in their van for 5 years during the start of their business, life was not always good for the brothers.
Still optimistic, Bret and John had $78 and a simple drawing of Jake when they created their original Jake shirts in 1994. All 48 tees were quickly snatched up at the local Cambridge street fair and Life is Good, along with Jake, became the favorite label for optimists and fun-seekers across the nation.
